Sarcoma is a rare and often deadly cancer. For Black women, the odds are worse—diagnosis is delayed, access to care is limited, and survival rates are lower. We’re here to change that.

The Fight Like a Lioness Foundation is dedicated to improving the survival rate and quality of life for Black women living with sarcoma cancer.
We provide guidance on accessing care, offer education and advocacy, and deliver emotional and financial support throughout their cancer journey.

The Fight Like a Lioness Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to improving both the survival rate and quality of life for Black women living with sarcoma cancer—a rare, aggressive, and often overlooked form of cancer.
Black women face unique challenges in diagnosis, treatment access, and long-term care. Our foundation was created to address these disparities head-on through a comprehensive support system that includes:

We help patients navigate the complex healthcare system to connect with sarcoma specialists, clinical trials, treatment options and emotional support.

Through community outreach and resources, we empower women with the knowledge they need to advocate for themselves and make informed decisions about their health.

We champion policies and practices that promote equity in cancer care and amplify the voices of Black women affected by sarcoma.

From peer mentorship to emergency financial assistance, we stand beside each woman with compassion and strength.
At Fight Like a Lioness, we believe that no one should face sarcoma alone. With courage, community, and care, we fight together—for survival, for dignity, and for life.

My grandma used to say, "A problem shared is a problem halved." Your generous donations help Fight Like A Lioness provide essential support to relieve some of the stress these women face as they fight for their lives. Together we can make a difference.
We know this diagnosis brings a thousand questions, confusion, and fear, and we're here to help you find the answers. Whether you need help navigating treatment, finding resources, or just someone to talk to, don't hesitate to get in touch with us. You don't have to walk this difficult path alone.
